Determining the best methods of parenting and the impact it has on your child and marriage
I currently, am a 23-year old college student who is married, and expecting her first child in August of 2008. I feel that the method in which you parent your child has a large bearing on both the development of your child, and your marriage. In conducting this research I hope to uncover the fundamentals of parenting that fit accustomed to the lifestyle and morals that my husband and I have.
I will conduct my research by using the internet, my college library, interviews, and my own personal experiences. Through this research, I hope to answer several important questions; In what ways does your parenting choice effect your child?, How can a bad parenting choice hinder a child’s development?, How much does being a parent for the first time change a marriage?
Showing positive and negative reinforcement to your child’s behavior makes it easier for them to learn acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Ignoring actions both positive and negative from your child can be detrimental and hurtful leaving your child in a sense of confusion. Creating a bond will enhance your parenting experience, and allow you to gain respect from your child. Role playing also proves to be beneficial to parenting.
The method in which you parent your child greatly affects your marriage, and the heath of your child. A home that is structured in the fundamentals of parenting creates an environment for your family which minimizes negative impact. The stronger a family environment, the stronger your ties between your marriage, and child will be.
